Michael A. Horning, Director
Mike was born and raised in Connersville, Indiana. He struggled with opiate addiction for 17 years. Mike has been called to preach the word of God and help other men to walk free and guide them out of addiction by working on the spirit, soul, and body. His personal experience of addiction and losing close family members inspires him to reach out to the lost and broken. Mike is also the Director of the Freedom House which will be the transition house for the Pathway to Damascus. Mike and his wife Jennifer also minister to needs of others at the Soldiers of the Army of the Lord.
Amy Hicks, Assistant Director
Amy is a National Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Coach and Certified Community Health Worker. She is also Founder/Ministry Leader of Connersville Celebrate Recovery. Amy has been the program director at the House of Ruth for the last 3 years. She is active in Fayette County Drug Coalition, Broken Chains Motorcycle Fellowship, and Decatur Co. Detention Center Residents Encountering Christ. Amy, herself, is a graduate of the House of Ruth program in 2017 and is serving on the their Executive Board of Directors.
